         <title>Reflection on the Practicality of Gamification to Education 4.0</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After experienced myself as a student on the classes conducted using gamification concept, I strongly feel there is a need to shift our class activities to be more interesting using element of gamification. Now we are shifting to the era of Industry Revolution 4.0 and universities starting to look into Education 4.0 whereby there is a big shift of technologies integration in teaching. Some of the critical skills that the students should have to survive in the job market: social intelligence, transdiciplinary, design mindset, virtual collaboration, media literacy, adaptive thinking should be built in the education system (Diwan, 2018). With increase of the gadgets surrounding, nowadays gen Z are more used to online technologies. It is a great move in Education 4.0 to empower the students to make use of technology to create innovation. With the components in gamification (Chou, 2018): meaning help students to have a sense of responsibility, empowerment students to learn in real life situation, social influence to get students to collaborate and create the team spirit and power together, unpredictability educate the students to consider for the subsequence, avoidance, scarcity give the pride to students to success in their goal, ownership build the students confidence in their rights and accomplishment let students trained to be more creative, collaborate easily in real life or virtually and increase their motivation in accomplishing their goal in a great effort. All these components will help our students to be more innovative.<br><br></div><div>&nbsp;Even gamification is a good concept to adopt, it might have some challenges we need to face. The main issue we might face: Is learning really occur for the gamification activities that we planned? We might suffer from lack of relationship between learning and gaming here. The gamification component we planned might not match with the learning content, or not solving any real life task or problem. Besides, the flow of information and learning process need to be continuing in the game is a challenge for the one who planned it also (Schuldt and Friedemann, 2017).</div><div><br></div><div>&nbsp;Despite focusing on the gaming, skillset develop from the course also need to be considered as my course is more on practical. Students are required to hands-on doing web development. Is there any tools that suitable for real-time collaborative coding and platform for coding assessments?
