In Chapter 30 of B-3087 by Alan Gratz, Yanek faces even more brutal conditions in the labor camp. The prisoners are forced to work nonstop, and the Nazi soldiers treat them with cruelty and disregard for their well-being. Yanek is exhausted and scared, but he keeps pushing forward, determined to survive. He sees many of his fellow prisoners suffer and even die, but he tries not to lose hope. Throughout the chapter, Yanek's strength and will to survive are tested, showing how important it is to hold onto even a small amount of hope in the darkest times.
