         <description><![CDATA[<div><br></div><div><strong>Characteristics/Symptoms: </strong>&nbsp;Stunted growth, skin rashes, microcephaly, lack of melanin, and can't break down Phenylalanine in milk.<br><strong>Mode of Inheritance:&nbsp; </strong>It is a recessive trait.&nbsp; Both parents has to pass it on if it is a girl.  If it is a boy, they only get it from the mother.<br><strong>Pedigree:</strong></div>]]></description>
