Doing a better job focusing on goals. Say which target is hitting. It is becoming more automatic. It has been good. Big improvement since the beginning of the year.

The question is how the learners are doing in meeting their goals. Feeling frustrated on the learner end.

It is challenging on at the lower end of grades and in special education when working on foundational skills.
We have been working on how to do procedures in Kindergarten and they are finally able follow directions.

a lot of open feedback, a lot of parent communication, involving administration. It should be a school wide effort, that includes a lot of parent involvement so they can see how the process works and gain a better understanding.

Helping parents to understand that learning can/does look different from when they were in school. We are still teaching the same concepts but we are often times teaching them in a more easily accessible or straight forward way compared to how they learned these concepts. For example, when teaching math, we often teach the "short cuts" or "tricks" as a strategy instead of teaching one way and having them find the "tricks" on their own.
