  • Animal abuse takes place when someone hurts an animal for purposes other than self-defence like for food, for fur and for fulfilling the other needs.
  • It’s against the law to be cruel or harsh with animals, even your own pets.
  • Nearly 1 million animals a year are abused or killed with domestic violence. 
  • It’s a huge problem in today’s society. 
  • Most of the animals are dying at a young age because of the horrible living conditions.

    • Tusks of Elephants and Rhinoceros’ horns are used in religious ceremonies. Hence, resulting in their poaching.

  • To make the eagles hunt, the eagle hunters take female baby birds from their nest and then tie her legs together and tie her to a post to prevent her from flying away. 
  • After she is caught she grows weak and dizzy from refusing food given to her by the hunter, but soon she gives in to hunger. This first step is needed to break an eagle in and buildtrust with the hunter so he can tame her. 
  • The hunter then spends months disciplining the eagle through the use of food and a lure until one day he lets her fly free. She will then be able to  hunt and listen to the hunter's calls to return instead of flying away. 
  • For the rest of the time, the Eagle just sits in the house or outside.  After ten years, the hunter lets the eagle go free to mate and breed. These  skills and knowledge have been passed down from generation to generation, most of the time from father to son.
