As of now, we can only slow down the rate of carbon emissions being produced by us.

There might not be any hope on the timescale of humans alive today, however, there might be a bit of hope left later in the future.

When people gain the awareness of the serverity of GW:

Decision makers have the potential to aid in the promotion of responsive management and political strategies. There needs to be ways to encourage the general public to give them the motivation/willingness to take action against GW. Most people don't know the impacts of this and how dangerous GW is. There is a relationship between knowledge, awareness, concern and environmental behavior.

What needs to be done

People in power. They are the key for raising this awareness. "Public and local administrations need to take urgent action to disseminate knowledge and to raise awareness so that the necessary measures can be taken."

This would also mean public decision makers have the potential to aid in the promotion of responsive management and political strategies. It's important they utilize their powers to aid in the response of combatting Global Warming

At the rate we are going, humans will continue to release greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. We can't forget that this is necessary for our survival as well. The Earth is overpopulating as well, so it's not clear if the damage is irreversible

Melting of glaciers, volcano eruptions, increased droughts & storms, health risks, rising sea levels, intense heat waves, loss of species, food famines, poverty and displacement, and so much more

There are measures that you can do to contribute in combatting the progression global warming:

saving energy at home, like saving electricity at home. (not keeping lights on for too long, water running, etc.)
rely on public transport. too much car travelling contributes excessively to the spread of carbon emissions
reduce, reuse, and recycle
eat low carbon
use renewable energy

How much time left?

The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change made a estimation that critical global warming will hit in the early 2030s as we continue to burn coal, oil, and natural gas.

2030s isn't that far. We don't have a lot of time until GW gets worse. It's uncertain the living conditions of the Earth later on
