         <description><![CDATA[<div>C - The less complex the food web is, the higher the relative abundance but the lower the species richness.<br>E - 1. When we had the animals eating everything, all organisms were wiped out except Plant A.&nbsp;<br>2. When each organism ate only 1 or 2 things, the population was able to stay constant quickly.&nbsp;<br>3. At first the plants fluctuate in abundance since there are too many herbivores but soon level out when some omnivores die.&nbsp;<br>R - Based on the evidence, a less complex food web results in higher relative abundance. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C- In a moderately complex food web complexity increases, biodiversity is the highest.<br>E- When species richness is constant, the species populations are more constant within the least complex food webs and fluctuates more within the most complex food webs. This means that relative abundance is more susceptible to change in more complex food webs.&nbsp;<br>Herbivores and carnivores have smaller populations than omnivores in the most complex food webs. Omnivores have the most food choices, therefore survive the best. The relative abundance of species with the greatest number of options for food will increase while species with fewer options decrease.&nbsp;<br>Food webs with moderate complexity show a trend of increasing and decreasing relative abundance that continues in a pattern. In moderately complex food webs, the populations of omnivores and predators are the lowest while the populations of plants and herbivores fluctuate continuously.<br>R- In moderately complex food webs, the greatest variety of species is supported and can exist in larger populations. Whereas in in the least complex food webs, a large variety of organisms can be supported but in much smaller populations. In the most complex food webs, only a small variety of organisms can be supported in large numbers. Therefore, moderately complex food webs can support the greatest species richness and relative abundance making it the level of complexity most able to support high biodiversity. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C- Food web complexity affects biodiversity by causing more competition between more levels which equals more animals.&nbsp;<br>E -&nbsp;<br>1. If you don't have each species eating one part of the ecosystem then it will flourish. Example, the bear not eating the deer which would cause the deer to overpopulate.&nbsp;<br>2. The more organisms that consumed smaller amounts, the better chance the ecosystem had in surviving.&nbsp; This occurs because there is less competition through out the food web.&nbsp;<br>3. When two or more herbivores eat the same plant, the plant will eventually run out. If this happens the rest of the food web would be effected and soon increase the competition between the other plants.&nbsp;<br>R -&nbsp;In our evidence we explained situations that could effect the competition in different ways. Competition is one of the biggest factors in a food web because it effects the biodiversity a bunch.&nbsp;<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C- The more complex the food web is, the more competition between different species occurs, and the biodiversity is not very stable. <br>E- 1. When three animals are eating the same plants versus just one animal eating the same plants causing it to run out quicker&nbsp;<br>2. When species just ate one species the population would stay relatively the same.&nbsp;<br>3.&nbsp;The ecosystem with some complexity was the best because all three herbivores weren't eating all three plants so that way the producers didn't die. <br>R- More complex food webs increases competition and can put species risk to die out in that ecosystem. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C- With a more complex food web, the biodiversity decreases because competition between organisms increase.&nbsp;<br>E- (1) When experimenting with a complex food web and comparing it to a simple food web, the simple food seemed to support the organisms better. It was more balanced. (2) Producers always out weigh the consumers in a complex ecosystem because with a complex food web, different consumers can eat each other than plants. (3) With the herbivores, there is many different species within them. Due to the relative abundance of the herbivores, competition is increased. From competition increasing, some of the species will die off because of not gaining the resource they need.&nbsp;<br>R- Based on our evidence we concluded, biodiversity it impacted negatively because there is an unbalanced environment, producers are thriving more than consumers, and competition increases exponentially.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C: A more complex food web leads to more competition and lower levels of stability, which then leads to varying changes in biodiversity.&nbsp;<br>E: - In the text, both webs had the same organisms but different levels of complexity; the higher complex one likely has lower stability which could lead to lower levels of biodiversity. -<br>During the lab, the less complex we made the web, the faster it became more stable and more organisms stayed alive. - Since there is more competitions on more complex food webs, there is more natural selection which can cause species to deviate from their original species.<br>R: Based on the evidence, our claim shows that more complex systems lead to lower levels of stability. In the lab, the more complex we made the ecosystem, the more the relative abundance fluctuated. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C- The more complex the food web is, the harder is it for some species to find food, causing less biodiversity because some species could die out.<br>E- 1. When we had a type of animal not able to eat much others in a complex food web, they tended to die out or have a much smaller population. 2. When we had a very simple food web were everything had their own species to eat, everything seemed even and nothing really died out. 3. In the reading it said that ecosystems that support consumers that rely on a single food source, in contrast, have simple food web. Meaning that it is much easier for a consumer that only eats one thing to live in a simple food web.<br>R- Complex food web make more competition, which can end in some species dying out quicker than they would have in a simple food web.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>C-The higher the complexity of the food web, the higher the biodiversity but the less species richness.<br>E-1. When the species only ate a few things each, the populations remained the same throughout the 100 days.<br>2. When we turned it all on, the species wiped out completely because there was too much complexity and the species just ate each other the whole time.&nbsp;<br>3. The more species we put into the ecosystem, the more each one had to feed off of. Each of the species did not have to compete as much due to more food sources and allowed each one to thrive and stay alive.<br>R- The evidence that we gave connects to our claim because, the more complex a food web is the faster the species die off, which means the species richness is low, but that brings the biodiversity because their is less species alive in the environment.</div>]]></description>
