Mary Warren's motivation is to side with whoever has the most power in order to keep herself safe, regardless of which is morally right.</div>]]></description>

Because of this Elizabeth has trust issues and got upset when John told her that he was alone with Abigail.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Cheever is the clerk of the court now, and is to arrest everyone who is accused of witch craft. Even though he might not agree with it, it is still his obligation to do so, which is why he takes Elizabeth away even though proctor was trying to prevent it. He's the one that finds the poppet, and the needle that Abigail was&nbsp;stabbed with at the Proctors home. </div>]]></description>
