Students must sign up to see their name on the post.
Moto - regularly use for verbal feedback, much easier to talk through working answer than send in a comment.

Bonus of being able to flick through the slides and adding of revision resources link.
https://sites.google.com/nairnacademy.net/hchemistry/home

CHJK Pear Deck resource really useful for pupil interaction and participation. PHHG noted student led function so students can access outwith class time.

PHCB Quizlet noted it as a user friendly resource and great for prefixes and definitions in Physics. Logged in on a Chromebook to look at student view which could encourage independent learning. BILS has used Quizlet live with a sort set of cards that can be released post meet.

PHHG Kahoot non live sessions positives are noted as can see individual answers and targets you to students who didn't finish and needed help. Max of 100 students for across class competition. BILS has used it for extension challenges. There are also past paper question already written.

BIDM Edpuzzle huge range of video clips ranging between 3-4 mins long multiple choice questions linked approx every 30 seconds within the video. Links the students score to google classroom. There have been issues with accessing it and pulling scores into classrooms. You do have capacity to go in an ammend marking schemes where appropriate. Students engage well with this :)

BILS modelled polls in a Google meet extension. Great immediate feedback for students and teachers will get feedback on what answers students gave. Can be good for emotional check ins.

White board.fi easy to make a white board and push to students. Can set up whiteboard link into google slides. Can give feedback as you see answers coming in through chat box in meet or verbally.

Self marking google sheets using If functions and true and false functions conditionally formatted to say right or wrong. For Senior phase ones can adapt to card sort format using word bank and definitions. This style uses a hidden and protected sheet. Noted as handy for engagment noting as it is very visual.

CHJB screen castify for introductions to work as well as review of calculations. User friendly resource short time limit could hinder more lecture based style.

Used of e-stamps on students work and additions of these stamps to praise postcards.

ENST - Read & Write

Looked into the use of Read&Write software and its functionality for driving literacy development through speech to text, text to speech, dictionaries and picture dictionaries, translator tools and predictive text. This could be used in various ways to support pupils across all abilities and levels and what's great is that it takes a variety of useful literacy tools and keeps them in a handy and intuitive toolbar. Links to instructional videos:

https://sites.google.com/millburnacademy.org.uk/highlanddigitalschoolshub/read-and-write-highland

ENST - Mote
Use of Mote for voice Feedback in Google Classroom. Works natively in GC. This is really helpful for short bits of feedback and a big timesaver for marking work submitted online.

ENSL - Jamboard
Looking at Jamboard as a useful tool for collating class ideas and getting quick feedback from a class. Could be used with background pictures as a stimulus for further discussion or developing ideas for writing techniques etc.

ENSM - Screencastify
Looked at how Screencastify could be used to record over on-screen footage and create voiceovers for instructions/tasks etc. Discussed the editing features and how to post to YouTube or Classroom.

ENKA - Google Meet Enterprise
Looked at Polls for a quick snapshot of ideas and opinions and had Breakout rooms modelled for us to allow pupils to meet in smaller rooms and discuss/work on things together with the availability of teacher support and timed element.

ENAM - Google Rubrics
Huge potential to create banks of rubrics matched to success criteria across all levels and use these for feedback to pupils in marking work. This can be used not only to accumulate scores for summative assessment, but to guide learners to their next steps and direct them to areas they need to focus on next time. A very powerful tool.
