Side note: I much prefer an observer to come in and "co-teach." It seems to me like a regular observer who circulates and maybe answers a question or two puts the kids at ease and that puts me at ease. When someone comes in and sits down in the back with a clipboard, students take that opportunity to put on a show and I focus on everything I am doing wrong.
