Samuel has special skills of hunting and being able to survive in the woods Samuel has adapted to be able to live and survive off of the woods. this had made him a stronger and better person is not selfish he  put his family before him. the  us military will be a good fit for Samuel .he can also learn new things there and he can increase his knowledge on  things he already knows .the academy will be a perfect fit for Samuel because all he has done for those he loves. this song  represents woods runner because the main conflict is Samuel parents being taken. Second, his parents are held captive to work (prisoners of war). Through out the novel Samuel overcomes many challenges. He is put in dangerous situations  but he never lets it get in his way. Rebel solders helped by firing at British soldiers so Samuel could get his family to safety

Encounters   a girl named Annie whom  parents died because of the Hessian's  and Samuel protects her

Prisoners of war is 2 prisoner who are captured and Improviser by the enemy in the frontier of a British colony. So when Samuel was hearing news about two wars happening it wasn't effecting Samuel too much  until his parents were taking captive. By the end of 1776 there were 1 in ever 5 prisoner was in new York, since the population of the city was only 25 thousand more than 20% of the people captive at than new York.
