"She [Bethany] gave me the finger, turned, and attacked Parker's face again. Parker chuckled." Before this passage, we saw Bethany invite Tyler up to a bedroom, but when he refused her because she'd been drinking...her attitude toward Tyler shifted as well. On the drive home, as seen in this passage, Bethany in her drunken stupor decided to turn her attention to Parker, thus putting Tyler in a difficult situation, yet again. Therefor, the song "She Hates Me" seems appropriate, especially the line which reads, "She tore my feelings like I had none, and ripped me away." Tyler probably felt like Bethany never cared for him when he saw her kissing Parker.

""Leave me alone" she said loudly." I think this is a good quote because in the book Bethany and Tyler went to a party on Halloween. Bethany brings Tyler up to a room and Tyler turned her down and now I know she she hates Tyler because in the hall she said "leave me alone". The title of the song is "She Hates Me" so that's why I choose this quote.

This reminds me because Bethany hurt Tyler a lot and the line "you can have it all my empire of dirt" from hurt is the line that fit this part and Tyler is sad

In page 150 Tyler's dad said to him" Look at me when I'm taking to you! I never thought I'd say this, but I wish that you took drugs. If you were high, I could blame it on that. But no, you screw up just for the joy of it-" This relates to the song Hurt by Johnny Cash, when it says "I will let you down, I will make you hurt" so in this page both Tyler and his dad are hurting.

On page 137 Bethany kept saying "leave me alone" to Tyler because of what happened at the party and thought it was all Tyler's fault. This relates to the song "She Hates Me" because Bethany hates Tyler from what she saw and heard that happened at the party.

Tyler messed up with Bethany because he turned her down and is probably isn't going to get her back. He must feel pretty stupid to turn her down. The song "She Hates Me" by Puddle of Mudd relates to Tyler's thoughts right now. Tyler probably thinks that Bethany hate him.
