How Technology, Coronavirus Will Change Teaching by 2025

Summary:
  • In 2015, Elliot Soloway and Cathie Norris made a predictions that stated the year 2020 will almost all be technology based and software would be adjusted towards educational advancements. 
  • Many predictions were right and a handful were admittedly wrong because technology still appears to be on the back burner in schools.
  • Coronavirus has expedited the technological reform in schools. However, the two predicted that the technology and curriculums would be available sooner, but teachers are still preferring paper and direct learning.

Acceptable Use of District Technology Resources
Reason:
 It is important to know what is required from students prior to the implementation of technology in education. This specifically refers to the use of district owned resources and there are certain things required prior to the use of these devices. When students are given the privilege to use these devices, it is the instructors job to enforce these rules inside the classroom.

Connection:
This standard is important for students that are unable to learn from direct or distant learning based on the students circumstances. They can be a health issue, religious view, etc. but the district must be able to accommodate accordioning to the Educators' Code of Ethics.
