This links with the Social Construction of Medical Knowledge as it looks into women's health, the article in itself shows us how over the decades the gap has been closed and matched by young women in particular. It shows how the medical knowledge has changed increasingly over the years. It also goes on further stating the increasing availability of alcohol playing an important role and the way that alcohol marketing is often targeted specifically at women. This artefact also links in with public health as the science and art of promoting health and preventing disease is through organised efforts of society, however within the article there is no mention to how health professionals are willing to help the public-both men and women to understand the health risks of consuming alcohol and how to reduce the risks.
