         <description><![CDATA[<div>Pneumonia can have different appearances.  This image has a white patchiness that is visible in the base of the right lung.  You are still able to see lung below the patchiness which is a clear indication that the patchiness seen is not pathology such as a hemothorax, that would present with the lung being filled with fluid or a solid white at the base of the lung.  </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On CXR images that contain pneumothoraces, deflated lung, the anatomy within the thoracic cavity can get pushed out of the normal position therefore creating anatomical distortion.  For example in this drawing I am representing the yellowish deflated lung on the right, whereas it could push the heart, represented by the red on the drawing, which can mimic an enlarged heart or cardiomegaly.  </div>]]></description>
