What two things did you learn today about gender and language.
In addition to your post, also respond to one of your classmates. Your response should be more than "I agree" or "I disagree"

Girls, however, appear to be able to do more things without “risking” their femininity such as wearing typically male centric costumes as opposed to males, who aren’t allowed to wear skirts or dresses.
I also learned that a gender neutral school would prompt students to be more confident in themselves and it would be fairer.

In the video most of them didn't think it was okay for the boy to be a princess or the girl to be spiderman. I saw the re actions of real parents around them and how they treated the child for how they wanted to dress for Halloween. I do not think that it is fair to limit a child on what they can and cannot wear because of their gender. If a child wants to wear a dress and they are a boy then they should be able to, and if a girl wants tot wear a Spiderman costume then they should be able to no matter what their gender is.
