I am very excited about following the Cases is Leadership course due to its practical nature in identifying and improving our leadership skills. I look forward to discussing different leadership styles and also gaining a workable understanding. 

When I am not studying, I enjoy going out and about in Amsterdam: meeting with friends for food and drinks, window shopping and exploring small boutiques, and sitting in the park or outside my favorite cafes and watching the people of Amsterdam walk their cute dogs. 

The geekiest thing I do in my spare time is to watch an abundance of horror movies and their making-of documentaries or discussion clips on YouTube. 

I am excited for the Cases in Leadership course because to this point, we have learned a lot about theory. I am ready to learn more about how theory applies practically.  

I took a sabbatical from my job to come to this program so I have been taking the opportunity to travel around Europe as much as I can when I am not studying. 

My geekiest attribute is that I obsess over music. For example, I’m a huge fan of Twenty One Pilots and read into all the theories behind their music, if anyone ever wants to discuss it. 

Before I came to NL for the master’s program, I worked several years in the music industry and received some polarized comments on my leadership style – from “stone-cold drill sergeant” to “bro”. I’m excited to take this course, because I expect the theories and exercises will offer me opportunities to reflect on my doings in the past and improve my leadership skills in the future. 

Apart from drowning in the literatures and assignments, I work at my own startup company remotely, and try to hit the gym as often as I can. There’s nothing better than a serotonin and adrenaline rush, right?

The geekiest thing I do is watching random videos on YouTube. And yes, I like funny cat videos a lot. 

I picked this course because I like the fact that it is practical in nature. I find exciting  that the knowledge we will gain we can then apply to ourselves to uncover our leadership potential. Looking forward to some interesting discussions!

When I am not in front of my laptop typing… I really enjoy taking modern dance classes or maybe yoga classes which is a new thing I picked up. I also really enjoy baking pastries and desserts at home. 

I suppose the geekiest thing I do is try out different bakeries in Amsterdam, rate them for myself and then if I like them I save them on my google maps.   

 

I am looking forward to taking part in the Cases in Leadership course since during my internship in Amsterdam, I’ve been inspired by many talented team/company leaders. I would like to learn and improve myself regarding the topic as well.

 

Apart from studying, I enjoy reading books, watching movies, playing the piano, and spending quality time with my loved ones while exploring Amsterdam.

 

The geekiest thing I do is that as soon as I am done with a movie/book, I start doing research on the plot, then the setting, the writer, the characters or actors/actresses, until I end up learning all the random facts about them. This sometimes takes me more time than it did to watch the movie but thankfully not longer than reading a book :)

I chose this course because after focusing on theories I like the idea of using them in practice. Also, in the future, I would like to work with leaders, and eventually, in a leadership position; for that, I think it’s a great preparation. 

When I’m not focusing on school, I enjoy going out with my friends, going to dance classes, or reading a good book. Also, I never say no to brunch or karaoke.

The geekiest thing I do is organize my clothes based on their color in color order.

One reason to take a course in Case Studies in Leadership is to gain an understanding of real-world examples of leaders and their decision-making processes. This type of course provides a practical, hands-on approach to learning about leadership, as it allows me to analyze and discuss actual cases of successful and unsuccessful leadership in a variety of contexts. I hope it can help me develop my own leadership skills and gain a deeper understanding of what it takes to be an effective leader.

Apart from studying, I worked in a credit insurance company as a market intelligence intern. I like to take adventures and challenges all the time. 

Outside of work, I enjoy walking and biking the national park in Netherlands. Besides, I love taking photos with my Fujifilm camera.

The geekiest thing I do is write diaries and paint in my notebook every day when I was in my bachelor’s. For now, I usually cook very spicy food at midnight.

I chose the Cases in Leadership course because of its practical and result-oriented nature. Nowadays, leadership skills are vital for anyone, especially for business people. It’s not a secret that a good leader is an experienced leader, “Cases in Leadership” is the case. Moreover, this course fits my career and inner goals for self-development. As far as I follow the International Business track, I’m more internationally oriented. Still, I want to make the most of my education and cover all the essential aspects of the business world. Furthermore, this is an excellent chance to develop and apply knowledge. 

As it says, work hard, play hard! In my free time, I hit the gym or any other sport activity, socialise, party with friends, attend various events, or just read business literature/insides. I’m a huge fan of experiencing new emotions while travelling, therefore, I try to keep following this tradition.

The geekiest thing I do is bring together positive-minded people and build strong teams for common goals. I do love motivating people just because it makes sense! Anything takes time and effort, so here we are, and there we move!

Throughout my studies and job experience, I have discovered that I am primarily interested in consulting, for which the right communication style and leadership skills are sufficient. That’s why, I would like to learn a lot about this topic, especially the practical part. 

Apart from studying, I work part-time at a Big4 company and I spend time with my friends and family. I am a huge fan of traveling and I also like going to the gym.

One of the geekiest things I do in my free time is organizing dinner tournaments with my friends, where we give each other ‘meal ratings’.
