Pete always had a love for the game since he was a kid. He got his motivation from his father, who was the fiercest football coach anyone had ever seen. The work ethic he got from his dad lead to Pete Rose beating Ty Cobb's hit record. He was the best player the Cincinnati Reds had seen, and after he retired from playing, he became the manager of his old team. However, for his whole life he had a gambling problem. The MLB found out that he had bet on the games he played in, which breaks Rule 21. Therefore, he was banned from ever playing baseball again. The other punishment that took a bigger toll on him was not being able to be inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
