-Expanding opportunities to all students - ensuring SPED students have opportunities to participate and succeed.

Just getting started at Pasadena High, but the program is open to all students right now. Also, PHS has created a class for them to be enrolled in at the end of the day.

As a new esports program, student acquisition is vital. Partnering with other organizations and clubs at the school can help gather more students to the esports program and foster stronger partnerships. Also, hosting more in-school tournaments can help market the program (SSBU, Rocket League, Marvel Rivals) while also hosting more friendly times for all students to come out and play.

Actually, most of my best ESports players are already in Special Education! Gaming is their super power!

More inclusive would also mean expanding my program to include more games. I'd need to be a paid coach to spend even more days after school with this.

Try to get more variety in what students play as well as expand on their current skills and get more involved in more leagues. Getting students involved in not only the gaming side but also the production and caster side of esports.

I'm currently working on bringing Esports to my school, then the district. I currently do Buddy activities with my 6th grade students and the SPED classes each month. It would be great to have my students partner up with their buddies and have them participate in some Esports activities together like Mario Kart time trials together.

We’re making our esports program more inclusive by adding beginner-friendly classes, highlighting roles beyond gameplay, and encouraging participation from all students. We'll be reinforcing sportsmanship and planning an interdistrict esports tournaments to expand opportunities for all students.

LAUSD is excited about our second official esports season and championship. We kicked off our Esports Ecosystem meeting with all stakeholders/departments supporting esports growth at their respective schools. We have started working more closely with SPED, BTB, CTE, Multi Lingual and even virtual learners to participate more in the upcoming season and build teams that are more inclusive and supported. We went from 100, to 200 schools, and we are helping all of them get esports programs kicked off and setup. We are excited for opportunities that esports will create for our kids.
