This is the most significant to me because I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and this event made me think that we made it. We have not. I recently became aware that on June 1st Anti - LGBTQ+ groups plan to attack, leak addresses, doxxing, and harrasing members of the LGBTQ+ community. 2014-August- November- A unarmed black teenager, Michael Brown was shot and killed by a white policeman. In November the grand jury decided not to charge the officer of the murder of this teen. I think that this is interesting to me because things like this are still happening and white officers never really get in trouble for killing the opposite race and it's upsetting to me because some people can be so rude to someone else and not know anything about them or their past. I hope the world changes. What a shame😪

Especially with everything going currently with social injustice, learning about more african american that were taken for no reason shows a real problem in this country. These riots were 6 years ago in 2014, and racism was still a thing blacks had to face everyday even though the civil rights act was signed 50 years prior. This country has do better to be better, and seeing that the same types of racially ignorant act were taking place in 2014 is completely heartbreaking and mind boggling.
