This idea stems from a series of observations and analyses:

- I studied how children of different ages interact with spaces, places, and objects within them.

- I noticed how their behavior during play and exploration resembles that of ants. Kids, like ants, love to collect and move various useful objects, especially those of an exaggerated or colossal scale, and then build new constructions with them.

- I considered how creative and explorative kids, particularly those between 5 and 10 years old, are. They don't need obvious play scenarios or specific ways to use objects/forms. They prefer to discover their own ways of playing and often avoid the paths we set for them. For instance, instead of using steps to reach a slide, children often find their own ways to climb up.

- I also took into account that the most valuable and unified communal spaces are those that children create themselves.

Therefore, I decided to fill the space with multiple fluid (and other) forms of different scales, colors, and textures, ensuring they are lightweight. This allows kids to explore and build their own universe.

This approach addresses all the questions I set at the beginning of this project: it is transformable, multifunctional, and unifying.

An outcome of the Realise Project is a transformable, multifunctional playground for kids, specifically designed to introduce Ukrainian children to their cultural identity, foster their cultural development, promote unity, and contribute to building a strong community.

All the objects within the playground are movable, lightweight, soft, and tactile. They feature strong visual communication elements representing national Ukrainian symbols and landscapes. These objects are easy to interact with, can be easily restored if damaged, and can be quickly removed to repurpose the space for other activities. Moreover, all the materials used in the playground’s construction are sustainable and natural, including elements such as grass, hay, clay, dry flowers, moss, and more.

Nothing is static in this playground: all objects are designed to be moved in various directions, allowing children to build new forms and constructions and encouraging teamwork and collaboration. The playground’s dynamic nature ensures that it remains a versatile and engaging space, fostering creativity and a sense of community among the children.
