It is different depending on who you ask.

Some of us have moved into private accommodation so it's hard to meet students in the same year and course. Even those in uni accommodation aren't able to mix with larger groups which could feel isolating for some in the beginning stages.

However online meetings and social events have been vital and very helpful in order to make new connections in different areas of uni life.

After this pandemic, everyone has shown their ability to adapt to unusual and unexpected circumstances. Having to study predominantly online was not something anyone had predicted would happen but it is fair to say that most people have been able to overcome this and are now relatively comfortable with the way lectures and studying will be conducted.
