This shows that she acts more with her emotions and doesn’t stop to think about what she is saying. Another example is when another character was mocking her for how she read. She heard him making fun of her and she got mad. She works hard at some things like learning how to read, as she is not as good as that. When she needs help, she is usually not scared to ask her foster father or someone else. However, sometimes this can backfire when she gets emotional, such as when she found out that Hitler was the one who took her mother away, and is the cause for her worries. She forgets that she is in a land ruled by Hitler and openly screams, “I hate the Fuhrer, I hate him!” (Fuhrer meaning leader) This can get you in big trouble if anyone hears it. I can somewhat relate to this because sometimes, I go through hard times as well. (Obviously not as severe as having dead or missing family members) Sometimes, I can have a hard time controlling my emotions.

But unfortunately she keeps in her emotions for too long, and then she bursts. For a girl in her time, bursting out like that isn’t exactly a good thing to do. It reminds me of myself, except i don’t hold my emotions in for that long. Not really audacious though. She can come up with good ideas. When Milda asked her to take those pastries down the town and hide them but if someone asks what’s she holding she has to give them the pastry and go back to the house. On, I think, the third try she got the idea to take peppermint leaves and rub them on herself so she smells like peppermint.
