2. What type of plant is it? Its a dicotyledonous plant that belongs to the morning glory family Convolvulaceae.
3. Where did the plant originate from geographically? Scientists believed that sweet potatoes came from Central America.

The results were it grew in height and in mass as well. More than any of the other two experiments. When a sweet potato is given more sunlight and water, it will grow faster than one that doesn't receive as much sunlight and water. The experimental group was given 150 ml of water and no sunlight (the window), but it did not show any signs of sprouting.
