         <description><![CDATA[<div>everyone has biases, and the sooner we realize that, the easier it is to gain a better perspective of non-judgement. There is a reason why every person does the things that they do, and finding a moment to take a step back and try to see things from a different perspective allows me to be less defensive and actually listen to what the other person has to say. People's feelings are validated and that is something that I feel is often missed in conversations (especially around topics regarding the "isms").<br>However, I think it's also important that people hear perspectives that they don't always agree with. If people with the same values and beliefs never seek out people with opposing opinions, it is unlikely that we will every be able to persuade the other party.</div>]]></description>
