Welcome to my padlet!
I am Sandra and I am 24 years old. It took me a while to get here. I will tell you...

I had to start a degree that I didn't like and then I had to do an early childhood education course. Then I realised that what I had always wanted was to dedicate myself to education. Now I am studying the third year of primary education.

I consider myself a quiet person who likes to take the initiative and make lots of plans. There are days when I love to stay at home and read a good book but usually I like to go out and explore. But not everything is so nice. I love to move around to visit places but not to do sport. I would like to have the desire to do sport and be constant but there is no way.

I was born in Barcelona and I have lived all my life in El Prat de Llobregat. I suppose you know the city where I live because of the airport, but it also has other places of interest such as the beach or the natural areas of the Delta. I like El Prat although I don't see myself living here forever.

I had the opportunity to do my internship in a foreign city. I chose London and I lived there for two months while I was doing my internship in a nursery school. It is a unique experience that I would like to repeat (if I am lucky, in the fourth year of my degree).

My mother tongues are Catalan and Spanish and the third language I have been studying since I was 6 years old is English. I really enjoy learning new things, including new languages. Now I'm studying B1 at the Official Language School in El Prat with the idea of getting a B2 or C1. Honestly, there are days when I find it hard to go, but I try to be consistent with the decision.

I love the feeling I get when I am in the middle of a route, looking around me and admiring everything there is in the world to see and discover. Don't think that I'm a professional road walker because I'm not. I also like the sea very much and I also do routes (camí de ronda). Watching a sunset in the middle of the Costa Brava seems like a great plan to me. I also value very much the typical medieval villages of Catalonia such as Peratellada, Pals, Begur, Monells...

My family and friends are a big part of my life. I like to keep in touch with them and make plans together. If I can combine mountains and friends it's the ideal plan for me. I have some friends with whom I share this hobby and it's great.

I enjoy my children very much. I have been working in two schools as an extracurricular English teacher for three years now. It is very gratifying to see how I have been able to help them to learn new things, to be more autonomous or simply to be happier.

THE TEACHER I WOULD LIKE TO BE

I want to be an open, empathetic teacher who does not forget to respect 'the child' inside every child. Sometimes they are unbearable (it's true and it's OK to say it) but we can't forget that they are children.

I also want to be a teacher who recycles herself. I mean, I want to be trained and informed about everything new that comes out: new methodologies, new resources, new knowledge... A teacher who never stops learning.

Finally, I want to be a person who really loves what she does. I think I already love being with them, teaching them and making them feel good. But if one day I feel that the situation is too much for me, I want to be able to leave the job, no matter how much it costs me.
