<title>&quot;Girl&quot; by Jamaica Kincaid makes me think of a woman who is trying to keep her family out of the rough. She tries her hardest to keep her life impeccable. She is the Psalms 31 woman. I chose this image because it shows a mother doing her daughter&#39;s hair while her daughter is showing no signs of wanting her hair done. This shows the characters of both of the ladies in the story. </title>

<title>&quot;Trifles&quot; reminded me of &quot;Arsenic and Old Lace,&quot; which is also a play (and movie). I think it reminds me of it because they&#39;re both old murder mysteries. </title>

<title>&quot; The Yellow Wallpaper&quot; is about a woman&#39;s escalation into her own insanity. I chose this photo because it shows the exact setting the reader imagines in their mind while reading. </title>

<title>&quot;A Jury of Her Peers&quot; is about the murder investigation of John Wright. The author often talks about how poor the kitchen in their house looks. </title>

<title>&quot; The Lesson&quot; takes place in Harlem. Miss Moore takes the kids from the block on a trip to an expensive toy store. These kids did not know money could be spend so frivolously. The lesson they learned was that life is not always equal. In Sugar&#39;s words,&quot;Equal chance to pursue happiness means an equal crack at the dough, don&#39;t it?&quot;</title>

<title>&quot;Everyday Use&quot; was a great lesson that had a impact on me. I&#39;ve never considered heritage in the way this book portrays it. It shows it living on through people, not just for display to remember old customs. </title>

<title>&quot;Death of a Salesman&quot; did a great job of showing the imperfections in the American Dream. I chose this picture I chose this picture because it shows the man can be winded up so that he can carry out what he is supposed to do, and that he does not truly choose his movements himself. This is like Willy.</title>

<title>&quot;Negro&quot; was very powerful, and showed that African Americans have been and remain to be far more than just slaves. He is proud of his people, and of his Africa. He said &quot;Under my hands the pyramids arose.&quot; Here are the slaves working hard to make a pyramid.&amp;nbsp;</title>
