This is a memoir about the life of Melbourne author, Helen Brown, and the rescue cat, Bono, she cared for while living in New York in 2013. It is a gentle, humorous, reflective memoir about a mother/author/wife's life, her relationships, and her affection for a cat who helped her make sense of life at a crucial time. It is an enjoyable, light read for both cat and non-cat lovers. Mrs Sylaprany

This novel is based on the true story of Lale Sokolov, a Slovakian Jew who was sent to different concentration camps throughout Poland (including the infamous Auschwitz) during World War II. He manages to survive his time there by taking on the role of camp tattooist, a position that requires him to tattoo prisoner numbers onto his fellow inmates' wrists.
This novel offers a new look at a subject that has been written about countless times, and the horrendous things victims had to do in order to survive. This in itself leaves a deep mental scar that they must learn to live with for the remainder of their lives. A captivating and confronting read. Mrs Ryan

It is about the life of a son (Zak Ebrahim) of a notorious terrorist, (involved in the death of a Rabbi, and the planing of 9/11), and his struggle through and the journey to deciding his own fate, and beliefs.

The book is set in America, and is a recount of the events the author experienced directly after his father shot and killed the leader of the Jewish Defence League in 1990.

I did enjoy reading this book. It was an easy, quick read, that was quite interesting. It was great to read about some one who was able to resist pressures of violence enforced by radical Islam, determine their own path and pursue a life of peace and tolerance.

Anne Aly tells her story with candour, emotion and humour. She has travelled a long way in miles, in changing attitudes and in gaining high scholarship. She has fought against the prejudices against Muslims, against cultural and familial norms and expectations and against terrorism. She has bravely faced up to the challenges of being a Muslim woman in Australian politics. This memoir is well worth reading!
Mrs.Victoria

This book shattered me in seven different ways. After putting the book down, I wept and wept. Even the next day I couldn't stop thinking about Lale and Gita and their incredible story through the darkest period of their life together.
Even if historical fiction isn't your go to read, I still highly recommend this novel to anyone wanting to feel something, something that will satisfy and overwhelm you that when you finally close the book, the story will continue to live with you.

After I had finished reading "Maus" by Art Spiegelman, I never thought another Holocaust story could make me feel empty and full at the same time. And now, since finishing "The Tattooist of Auschwitz", have I realised that in a time of advanced technology, storytelling, in any shape or form will never die out. That books and literature have only met their beginning and continue to astonish me. This book is one I'll never forget.

Well done Heather Morris, your writing has me obsessed. I am honoured to have read this story, to feel the beauty of joy and sorrow in your art of storytelling. Thank you. Miss Kadry
