Verb patterns

We studied this topic in the start of the semester, and it was one of the most useful themes, because after passing state exams I gave up repeating English language and completely forgot verb followed by either “to-infinitive” (afford, demand, ask and etc.) or “-ing” (avoid, can`t help, deny and etc.). Also this topic is not very hard, so it was easy to get involved in the educational process.

In one of our homework on Skyeng was topic concerning “used to” construction, which is one of the hardest themes for me. It was great to repeat it, but actually I have always had some problems with “be used to”, “Get used to” and etc. and unfortunately, I don`t think that I solved that problem. :(

This task was easy enough, despite that fact that I didn`t read the task carefully and made a mistake with words limit. The task helped me to call to my mind rules of informal letter and the mail structure which I used on state exam.

The tasks concerning presentations were the ones, which made me study new words, because we had to talk continuously about specific topics like preparing food and oratory. Also, it helped me to loosen my tongue.

It is obvious that we studied far more themes, but I would like to highlight only these, because they were either the most interesting (like preparing presentation about favourite dish) or useful (like “used to”).
