1a(a) The cliff might be longer
1a(b) The cliff will be eroded
1b)Cliffs are shaped through erosion and weathering . The sea attacks the base of the cliff between the high and low water mark. A wave-cut notch is formed by erosional processes such as abrasion and hydraulic action - this is a dent in the cliff usually at the level of high tide.Shore platforms form in the intertidal zone as a consequence of the erosion of cliffs bounding a landmass. The platform surface is then exposed to subaerial weathering for a considerable part of the tidal cycle.
2a)3,4,1,2
3bHeadlands are formed when the sea attacks a section of coast with alternating bands of hard and soft rock. The bands of soft rock, such as sand and clay, erode more quickly than those of more resistant rock, such as chalk. ... The areas where the soft rock has eroded away, next to the headland, are called bays.

task 1b:
Cliffs are usually formed because of processes called erosion and weathering. Weathering happens when natural events, like wind or rain, break up pieces of rock. In coastal areas, strong winds and powerful waves break off soft or grainy rocks from hardier rocks. The harder rocks are left as cliffs.

The erosion of rock formations in the water, coral reefs and headlands create rock particles that the waves move onshore, offshore and along the shore, creating the beach. Continual erosion of the shoreline by waves also changes the beach over time. One change that erosion can cause is the appearance of a headland.

2(b)
All you need is a cliff face, some water, and lots of time. Thousands or even millions of years, in fact.
Coastal erosion or the slow wearing of rock by water and wind over very long periods of time causes a stack to form. All sea stacks start out as part of nearby rock formations. Millennia of wind and waves hit the rock and break it down. The force of the two creates cracks in the stone, and, little by little, cracks become chips, which fall off the main rock.
When enough chips fall off, holes are created that extend from one rock outcrop side to the other. Eventually, the wind and water break through to the other side, creating a cave or arch. Over many more generations, this arch also falls away, separating one part of the rock from the original cliff. This is your sea stack.
Over time, this too gets broken down, causing the stack to collapse, leaving what's known as a sea stump. Any stack could become a stump as the water breaks down its base, so stacks should be treated with caution by climbers.

hydraulic action and abrasion may erode a crack or a joint o the rock surface, gradually enlarging it to form a notch. the notch may be further deepened to produce a bigger hollow space called a cave. Further erosion caused by the waves causes the roof of the cave to collapse and form a steep cliff. As erosion continues, an overhanging cliff is formed. Eventually, this overhanging cliff will collapse and the materials will be deposited at the foot of the cliff. some of these cliffs may be carried by waves and thrown against the base of the cliff, causing further erosion. Overtime, the cliff will retreat inland and a gently sloping platform appears at the base where the cliff used to be. This is the shore platform which is submerged during high tide.

coastal stack is formed when coastal erosion or the slow wearing of rock by water and wind over very long periods of time occurs, cutting a pillar of rock away from the headland. At first , a joint / crack / cave is widened by erosion and weathering. The destructive wave will continue to break into the cave. Hydraulic action for and rocks abrasion will also erode the notch as the coastal load of stones and pebbles are thrown at the headland. Over time , the joint gets bigger and deeper. eventually forming a sea arch. The rock at the base of the search is undercut and as the arch is
widened it can no longer support the overlying rock which will cause the sea arch to eventually collapse and a sea stack will be formed. Over time, the stack is also undercut by erosion and may collapse to form a stump that are only visible in low tides.
