They are also considered as guest essentials. The guests are expected to use these supplies or take them away on departure. Depending upon the type of room, the list of supplies for guest bathroom are –

Sheets:  Pure cotton sheets are available, but these days many hotels prefer a polythene cotton blend. Sheets should be long enough to be tucked in well. I’m the standard method of bed making, two plain sheets a one crinkle sheets are requiring bed. Crinkle sheets are also night spreads.

Pillow cases:  Pillow cases should be of a size that can fit easily over the pillow. Frills and laces should be avoided as their maintenance is cumbersome. These are used in very formal settings

Blankets:  These should be light weight for comfortable but at a same time as a thermal insulator. Other use dark colours so that maintenance is easier. Usually blankets have a trim of satin at the top and bottom edges

Duvet covers:  these are like large sacks made of cotton or blended fabric. They should be comfortable size for the duvets to fit in.

Mattress Protectors:  A mattress protector is an item of removable bedding that sits on top of, or encases, a mattress to protect it. Some mattress protectors also provide protection to the person sleeping on the mattress from allergens and irritants such as dust mites, bed bugs, mild, and dead skin (like dandruff).

Bedspread:  A bed cover, often decorative, with sides that go to or near the floor. Protects bedding, including pillows, during daytime from dust or other contamination

Bathmat - a heavy towel or mat to stand on while drying yourself after a bath

 

Bath towel - a large towel; to dry yourself after a bath
 
 

Linen - white goods or clothing made with linen cloth

 Cloth, washcloth, washrag, flannel - bath linen consisting of a piece of cloth used to wash the face and body

B- Floor supervisor physically counts each soiled item on the floor and enters the figures in to room linen contract sheet

C- Two copies of room linen control sheet are sent with the hampers of soiled linen in the linen room

D- Linen supervisor whoever is responsible recounts the linen brought down and verifies with the room linen control sheet the he stamps RECEIVED after the tally and returns one copy while the third is retained by him

E- Against the room linen control sheet the linen supervisor issues fresh linen on one to one basis. In case the linen room is short of fresh linen at the point of the time then he/she enters the balance due to the room linen control sheet and issues the short fall in the next slot

In case of new employees, uniforms are issued against a specific authorization letter

Received from the personnel department.

·        The employee is required to sign in for his or her particular uniform.

·         A uniform issue slip is also provided to the employee by the personnel department.

·        The uniform is then issued from the linen room, where the name of the department, and the items issued are entered in the register 

·        Signature of the employees is taken

 

A Uniform register in which the movement of uniforms is recorded is maintained by the linen and unifrom room supervisor 

The procedure are as follows:

·        For regular employees, ensure that they have arrived for unifrom exchange at the stipulated time 

·        Check the uniform being returned for any damage

·        Issue a fresh uniform strictly on an one for one basis, ensuring that it is is of the correct size and name 

·        Make out the unifrom exchange slip in duplicate only when the employee depopsists a soiled uniform and takes the clean on the following day.

·        The emloyee has to produce the unifrom slip, authorizing his/her entitkement to the unifroms 

·        The orginal unifrom slip Is given to the employee and the duplicate and the duplicate retained in the uniform exchange slip book

·        If the soiled uniform is found to be damaged such thaty it can be mended warn the employee. If the unifrom cannot be mended, report the matter to the supervisor

 

 Guest Supplies in Hotel Room Plays a very important role. For giving the guest more good experience we should also uprgade the quality of supplies. Uniforms  for the restaurant and front office staff must functional yert pleasing but must also go with the ambience of the area they work in, for eg, a poolside restaurant in a resort can have stewards dressesd in Bermudas ana a floral shirt with accessories like straw hat and sandal
