How have we seen Macbeth’s character change from the beginning up to now?

- At the beginning he didn't know much about anything but then suddenly the witches appeared and his whole world changed. He became very paranoid about what the witches could've meant and if their predictions were his fate, so he tried to make them come true and lost himself along the way. He felt that he was no longer a noble man but a man who murders and lies and who is slowly going insane.

Macbeth began as a soldier, being the Thane of Glamis. As the story continued, he received prophecies that started his downward spiral. These prophecies promised him royalty and success. Macbeth took this as a sign that he had to act, and after a while of Lady Macbeth convincing him, he murders the current king to secure his own place as king. He does this with lots of hesitation and regret, beginning to seemingly lose his mind and see hallucinations. It is obvious he did not want to do this. Later on in the story, he demands more prophecies, showing how he became more upfront and willing to take action. He even sends murderers out to kill people just to ensure his own success, and he did it on his own accord. He became bold, and more willing to do what it takes for him to get what he wants. -LL

In the beginning he cared about how much it would affect him and everyone around him he was more anxious to do anytime of killing and obviously now he's getting smarter and if getting others to do his dirty work for him. He might still be very nervous to get caught since he does keep seeing things that are not true but that's just his brain trying to process everything and gets him nervous and scared to get caught.
