Computer Science, especially, needs a large system of ethics in place. In history, Computer Science has been in the forefront in so many aspects of society whether it be healthcare, military, home security, etc. Because of it's immense impact around the world, it's essential to have ethics in place to fight against possible scenarios where CS is put into the wrong hands.

CS also manages and is now involved more and more with our daily lives and is becoming more capable, and we need to assess how much of our privacy are we willing to give up. That is an ethical issue.

If malicious actors are going around and stealing people's info and breaking confidentiality, then this becomes a serious ethical issue. Proper use and study of CS can better prepare people to protect themselves whenever they are online.

These two things are related in strongly in the uprising and use of AI. Basically things that we should and shouldn't do. The data that we feed to these AI models to "learn" about certain things like a group of people or just the everyday person. These things can be intentionally or unintentionally discriminate or cast out a certain group of people based on the current data size. But its not all bad as it can help us in our day to day activities and help us connect with people. So that's why the two topic are closely related, we have to know where to set our boundaries and to know when something is too much especially if it falls into the wrong hands.

Computer science and ethics can be related through many ways depending on the topic. All topics within computer science have its own issues thus that is where ethics come into play. For example in the field of cybersecurity there are can be people with bad intentions to exploit data from software or hardware. That is why government officials and organizations must come up with laws and guidelines so that these occurrences can not happen. A more relevant example can come from deepfakes. Recently there has been an ongoing concern about deepfakes and their power to influence the public. Potentially an individual can use it to sway public opinion on another person or group even if they did not commit any act as shown through the deepfake. It is important to include ethics in computer science because it helps to maintain order in the tech domain.

The CS field is broad and includes concepts such as software development, in which without ethical codes or morals, people could create malicious software that can steal people's private data. Ethics surrounding CS can keep users and their personal information secure, as well as set up a good and responsible framework for developing new technology.

I'd like to say that they have a relationship because computers allow us to make challenging or arduous tasks a lot simpler. This leads us to question the morality of the use of computers for certain fields within computer science. For example, in AI there's now the use of deep fakes to create sexually explicit and potentially fraudulent content that can very much get people into hot water or even ruin their life. In cryptography, computational power nowadays makes the inefficient brute force method to crack passwords much more reasonable to use. I think knowing how to leverage computer science and different breakthroughs with the field for good is a great thing, but it's also equally important to do damage control and find the best ways to mitigate potential misuse of a certain technology.

As technology evolves, we increasingly see the moral implications of technology in daily life. With the rise of AI, many have questioned whether it's ethical to use it to create art. If someone uses AI to produce a beautiful piece, does it harm artists who spend years perfecting their skills to create their work? We are now witnessing many false claims being further spread through the use of AI, whether it be fake renditions of people's voices saying crude and foul things or misinformation distorted to favor a certain side. With technology being so pervasive today, it's impossible not to consider ethics as part of computer science, as technology has infiltrated every corner of our lives, just as our morals and societal expectations dictate and influence our every move.

There are definitely a few ways CS and Ethics are related/intertwined. For example, when dealing with data privacy, SWEs have to be able to implement/use certain data collection techniques. Ethics need to be established in order to protect the users privacy while having the application work as intended. If there are no ethics regarding data collection, then the users privacy can be easily compromised which can cause a ton of financial stress, mental stress and other things we'd want to avoid. Another example is the rise of robotics and preventing them from taking over the world (at least have a terminator AFTER my life). Ethics are important to allow a safe growth for the development of robotics so we can make sure that we as humans are still safe while also being able to make further advancements in the field. Ethics are, in my opinion, the bowling lane borders which help protect us from getting zero points (having the world end) and guide us to a strike (not having the world end)!

AI algorithms can potentially copy other people's work without giving any credit, which could lead to copyright or plagiarism issues. This can raise concerns about being fair and accountable when it comes to the use of AI. Ensuring that AI systems are designed and used ethically is essential to prevent harm and give the public reassurance when they are using such tools.

What the companies who created those apps do with the data has to be closely monitored. If the data is mishandled or used maliciously it could lead to a crisis.

Such is the case for computer science and ethics.

Well, ethics in the tech space is as important as the tech because users of software and devices are entrusted with a product, and likewise companies are entrusted with the user's data. So, when a software or device has powerful capabilities, the ethics regarding its usage should be prioritized. It is important to keep ethics in mind when developing software. Intention determines impact. Ethics makes sure our intentions are good. Is our intention good, bad, or okay?

As the advancements happen the more powerful technology becomes, and fields like Computer Science are the backbone of modern technological architecture. Therefore, as time goes on the more powerful things like Computer Science become in terms of how they can shape and affect the world. The ethics come in when you refer to what that power is going to be used for, because when talking about the ability to affect the world so easily there are a lot of moral and ethical concepts to be discussed. One of the big ones is the potential for an AI takeover of certain career fields and how moral/ethical the advancement of AI is as a result. Therefore, when talking about out of control these computer science practices can get, ethics are put in place to act as the regulators/restrictions to make sure the power and potential doesn't get out of hand.

Ethics is related to computer science in that ethics is how you regulate a set of rules onto what computer science can do. Usually this is set up in a moral standard or a standard in which prevents harm from others. For example, it is considered unethical to release malware that might hurt others devices or steal information, because morally that is wrong. So ethics is used to ensure that a user of CS's skills are being put to use in a way that is either good, or not harmful or hurtful to other people.

There are definitely a few ways

CS and Ethics are

related/intertwined.

Computer science and ethics are interlinked through issues like data privacy, artificial intelligence and many other interlinked issues. Through a data privacy point of view, computer scientists must protect personal information of users from issues such as unauthorized access and misuse of information. Through a artificial intelligence point of view, AI can form certain biases and abuse private user information. Biases are unethical due to them affecting people's real life decision making. AI directly built into devices can user personal information whenever and can even sell it without direct user consent which is also unethical. Computer science should always be used ethically to further human needs.

Ethics is largely related to Computer Science. Ethics in the Computer Science space is as important as the tech because users of software and devices are entrusted with a product, and likewise companies are entrusted with a the user's data. So, when a software or device has powerful capabilities, the ethics regarding its usage should be prioritized. Therefore, It is important to keep ethics in mind when developing software. Intention determines impact. Is our intention good, bad, or okay?

Ethics and Computer Science are related in many different ways. For one, ethics always needs to be considered in the compsci field as having certain skills can allow you to do some not very ethical things such as hacking or scamming. There are also a lot of ethical considerations to make when simply programming software or an application as the programmer holds a lot of power over what specific users can see and interact with and can even make code specifically for users of a certain demographic which can be a very slippery slope depending on what is being programmed. These are just a few important reasons why ethics and computer science are so closely related.

Computer science and ethics are closely related. In computer science, we learn the ins and outs of a computer, the ideas and principles behind them, and how to use them. Computers are such a powerful tool. Even if someone doesn't have much knowledge related to computer science, they can still do a lot with computers. Now, a person who has a computer science background could do so much more than the average person. They can help prevent malware attacks or be the attacker themselves. They can create an AI tool that makes life a lot easier, but it takes information from other people to learn. They can create phenomenal code themselves or they can cut corners and copy someone else's code. There are many possibilities one can do on a computer. Ethics can help regulate the potential issues that could arise with computer science. Computer science needs ethics so that the cyber world can thrive and be a safer place rather than a setting where its every person for themselves.

I think that computer science and ethics are related because as we progress as a society technologically there can be a lot of issues that arise with how we decide to handle these new advancements. One example that comes to mind is with the latest AI advancements where you can type a prompt and an image will pop up a lot of artists had issues with what the software was trained on and had worries that their intellectual property was being used for profit without their consent. This real-life scenario is an example of how advancements in technology can also create new problems in people's lives. With Computer Science being a discipline that is very closely related to technology that has the potential to broach upon people in ways that may violate our ethics we can see where the two topics collide and why it is beneficial that we try to develop technology in a way that causes the least amount of harm possible.

Computers are tools that people use. It's up to people how we use these tools responsibly, which involves ethics for the most extreme situation. One big thing is data. Google receives huge amounts of data, and it is up to them if they want to use it ethically or if what they are collecting is ethical. A recent thing is AI and art. How ethical is it to have AI replacing artists?

Ethics is important for any product made for use by others. More so, ethics in computer science is vital due to the ubiquity of and utility of computer devices in today's world. Since the majority of end users of a program don't have an intimate knowledge of computer science, they have to be able to trust that the program that they're using does only what it says it does. Because of this factor, computer science has a very high potential for abuse.

Computer Science and ethics are related in a multitude of ways. There has always been the saying that once something is posted online, it stays online forever, and nothing can ever be truly deleted. Computer science gives us the ability to code programs to do virtually anything, but with that comes the question of how morally just is what you're doing.
