Lorena and her whole family was feeling excited with the New Year’s Day Even coming, so then, Lorena happily and fascinated with that, felt open to start asking what were they all going to do for this year’s celebration, so everyone inspired and excited voted for turkey, spaghetti, chicken and salad, which was a good answer because the whole family loves it. While for the decoration for that day, early all along the next day Lorena was quickly and happily putting decoration all around her house, from decoding the walls to the table for the dinner, decorating was making her feel good and joyful for the night to come. Past some hours, Lorena and her son started to patiently looking for some games to play with their whole family later that night, but they had to look all across the house because they completely forgot where the games where, finally Lorena feel relieved and loudly told her son that she has found the games. Lorena and her family were feeling amazing with the house all decorated, they love the Christmas tree. Later, the night came over and as usually some family members started to arrive, then thankfully everybody was there, and everyone was telling Lorena “everything looks good” or “the house it´s so beautifully decorated”, that made her feel appreciated. Then the whole family was into the same conversation and calmingly waiting for the dinner to be ready. When finally, the food was ready, everybody was fascinated with how deliciously the food was smelling, and felt fresh and good. Then the whole family sat down in their common favorite places in the table to start the celebration of the night. Later, satisfied by the very well served food, as usually, the time of the games started, when the family used to play all together, they felt challenged, because they were many family members, but with the little Lorena’s son who was only 5 years old, everybody were very kind and caring, and help him to learn how to play, the celebration was going through very quickly, but then some deliciously smell started to be into the house, it was Lorena doing the traditional Café de Olla, of course that surprised the coffee lovers of the family, everyone was happy and feeling wonderful. 

Finally, when it was 12 o’clock, whole the family get up and took 12 grapes and began to eat them asking for their New Year’s wishes, then everyone raise up their glasses, the guests toasted to the New Year coming. That was a beautiful night, everyone had a lot of fun. 

Lorena and her family love spending time together and remembering anecdotes, singing, dancing and laughing in family.

Reflection 

This story it was based in the celebration New Year’s Even, which it´s realized annualy, but specifically in the way my family celebrates it, where the whole family reunites early so we all can enjoy the whole family, also for me, personally, likes to go straight to the food first so later everyone can all enjoy the games, talks, etc. It´s a celebration that we all love, and are excited for.
