Alone - Jerome is bullied and treated wrong the whole story and that's enough to make somebody feel alone.

Small - They talk about how Jerome is short and skinny when they are in the courtroom.

Empty - Jerome, "In the courthouse, I feel clammy and cold. Not weather cold, just empty cold."

Oppressed -  While they are in court people shout out things like "Black lives matter." and "Jerome mattered." These words usually stand for less black oppression in the world.

Outcasted - In the book jerome talks about how he gave up on friends in 5th grade.
