The first day of training fully met expectations. There were multiple apprenticeships in an outdoor and informal concept. An excellent way to learn and a methodology to provide students.

I choose as a learning highlight today the theme of internationalization and national identity. It is a motivating theme that should deserve the attention of school institutions. Normally, internationalization means carrying out isolated activities in an international space. These isolated activities have a closed purpose. They are isolated and decontextualized activities. They provide an occasional experience without representing the true concept of internationalization. Internationalization is much more than that. Internationalization should represent a strategic integrated element of the school curriculum. The strategy of internationalization must go through an international, intercultural and global approach with several programs and initiatives. Internationalization should seek to develop in children knowledge, skills, attitudes and habits of global citizenship.

Internationalization does not imply compromising national identity. The cultural identity of each country is not in question with internationalization. Internationalization allows sharing the symbols, values, history and culture of each country. National identity is not born with us. National identity allows us to respond to differences. National identity results from daily contact with language, music, culture, history, national colours, gastronomy, customs, traditions, values, family, etc.

The classroom is the door to the world that allows the sharing of national values and the approach to other cultures and society. By learning about other cultures we leave a bit of ourselves and receive something from others. In this way, our international heritage increases by feeling our intercultural diversity.
The countries present in this course, Portugal, Denmark, Finland, Latvia, Germany and France reinforce the feeling of international belonging described above.

I loved the the learning environment for today. It created the perfect opportunity to learn about Guadeloupe, our group and about ourselves.

My highlight today was that I realized that our national identity changes with us. It does not define who we are instead we define our national identity. Our culture is a mixture of many different cultures and is formed throughout history. So there is nothing really, purely German.

Our international lunch was amazingly delicious. Tasting and talking about food from different countries showed me another beautiful part Europe has to offer. I even learnt about a regional German bread spread I've never heard before.

My quote of the day: "An noumenn !"

I learned a lot of things today, a lot about Guadeloupe, the topographie, the people, way of living here, especially a lot of national identity and internationalisation. It was very interesting to think about myself and my personality and tell it to the other people from different countrys. In the daily life, there ist normally no time to think about the personal traits. Our culture is a mix of different cultures and this is formatif for our way to live and communicate together. Our lunch together was great, it was a coulorful mixture of different foods, a lot of unknown dishes to eat, my favorate quote was the "tea punch" and the story of the glas of rum in the morning.

What did I learn today. That the identity of single persons makes up the culture of a country. If I understood it correct. I'm not quite sure if I believe that is the whole picture.
I realized that I defined myself mostly with things connected to work! 🤔
Got new ideas on how to let students introduce themselves.
During lunch learned how much countries steel/inspire eachother food wise and more.
No photo - WiFi not working!

Today I learned more about who I am, what I do here and where I'm going... . Guadeloupe exudes multiculturalism, just as all of us, regardless of our national identity, are the result of an amazing genealogical mix and powerful historical experiences, enabling us to learn in adversity and live in cultural, social, economic, political and environmental diversity. To live in a global world is to challenge and be challenged, is to turn adversity into opportunity, is to respect to be respected.

Things we care about are the things we value and that makes us who we are.
Thank you for everyone in the group for sharing your stories behind identity ❤️.

By being interested in other's culture and thoughts we will increase understanding towards each other. Thank you for all the delicious dips to your identities and cultures!

I learned today that even though all of us were raised in a certain way and grew up in certain circumstances, our identity ist not fixed or given, but changes in the course of our life and is also influenced by the decisions we make. Moreover, by talking to you, I learned that other schools apply regularly for Erasmus funding and that there is hopefully a lot that we, who are taking part in such a programme for the first time, can learn from you guys to establish Erasmus plus at our school. And thanks for sharing your stories today and for all the things you brought for our unique and diverse lunch.

But after today I think that we and even our school need to change our way of thinking about the different possibilities of teachers education to keep improving....
