In this story, there is a pig named Wilbur, who becomes a pet to a little girl named Fern. Once Wilbur becomes too big to be a house pet any longer he is moved to The Zuckerman Farm. Upon getting to the farm, he meets a spider named Charlotte. This books tugs at human emotions as Wilbur's fate is often wishy-washy at times. The complexity of this book is moderately complex. This book is a about a hispanic family that is celebrating Christmas. A little girl named Maria helps her mother make tamales for the meal. She panics and thinks it landed in one of the tamales as they were making them. She and her cousins eat all of the tamales and it turns out her mother had the ring on her finger all along.
