There is of course still the possibility that Adnan Syed did in fact murder his ex girlfriend that fateful night, but there was more than enough reasonable doubt to continue the investigation. Jay could have killed her, though I personally do not believe that to be the case, or it could have been Don, or even Ronald Lee Moore, the known murderer and rapist who happened to be out that day. There is just simply not enough information for any arrests to be made, or for any juries to convict. We may never know who is truly responsible for the crime of killing seventeen year old Hae Min Lee, and seeing as so many years have passed, she may never be able to get the justice she deserves.
