I understand that there are other issues that exist for this community, but if you eat unhealthfully, it will shorten your life and limit your future prospects. 

D. Watkins describes this issue perfectly in his vignette, "What's to Eat?". He mentions, "We are marching and protesting against police brutality, but biscuits and gravy and macaroni and cheese are probably killing us at a more alarming rate." I believe that technology effects your education and daily life because we use it everyday and its all around us but we cant get away from us. 
A reason why technology effects us so much is social media for example instagram in the texts D.watkins says "They spend hours aimlessly scrolling, absorbing fake and altered realities, praising the lives of celebrities when they could be enjoying real life, participating in rich discussions, and learning". Also he says "IG distractions hindered his potential.Monitering the effects that the Gram had on a student like Tyree has led me to question my own growth and to wonder what I could accomplish if I didnt punch that app so much '.

i believe that d. watkins' made a perfect way of stating fast foods are a very negative way on the people in  negative environments because there's not many positive places such as the  "black america"

There are lot's of people who are dying just for looking like a drug dealer and/or being in a gang affiliation. Even if somebody is comminting a crime and the police catches them,, the police will do anything they could to bruise them very badly or break a bone. For instincts the freddie gray case. For one the cop shouldn't had hit so many hard turns knowing that he somebody who can barely move the back of a moving vehicle that is one way he was wrong , another way that he was wrong was because he made stop to buger king and dunkin' donuts. The thing with community violence is crazy. Baltimore has recently got rated the most dangerous city in the USA, There are some people is scared to come to Baltimore because we have 237 homicides from the last time I heard about it. I have friends that are in jail due to crime and as soon as they in jail all I see on my instagram timeline is Fuck Da LAw#free______  not coming for nobody butnif was really your mans why didn't tell him to no do it. If he was really your mans tell him don't sell drugs to keep a roof over your head  for you and your family, go to school, get your education sign up for summer jobs, move your family out the hood like you claiming you gon' do. That's what somwe people don't understand that if Baltimore was filled with people with positive mindsets we people wouldn't be so scared to visit.
