Tet, as known as Lunar New Year holiday is one of the most important festival in Vietnam. Tet usually occurs at the end of January or at the beginning of February. During Tet, some families enjoy this festival by preparing traditional food such as Vietnamese square cake, dried candied fruit,... when Tet comes, people usually buy new clothes or traditional costume "ao dai"
Early in the first morning of the year, they go to the pagoda to pray for peace and health, and visit their grandparents and relatives.. During Tet, people usually stay at home and prepare meals. Fireworks will be fired on New Year's Eve. Music is very important for Tet holiday, it helps Tet less boring
