"Glyphosate can cause damage to the kidney, reproductive/digestive system, and human gut." The EPA, USDA, and FDA has allowed the green light to the generation of GMO crops... to be sprayed with strong toxicides. Although some people believe that we don't need to label GMO crops, it may actually be argued that 93% of Americans want GMO labels because peoples health is more important than the products companies are selling, and they have the right to know what's in their foods.

First of all, not labeling GMOs would have people wondering about their health and what the foods have. According to Newsela "Banned In Europe But Not In U.S.", it states, "long term exposure to glyphosate can cause damage to the human body." As a result, it can cause health problems and more people would get sick. Furthermore, it'll cost the people money to get the treatment they need.

Secondly, the glyphosate can affect you in negative ways. For example, glyphosate herbicide is sprayed on 84% of GMO crops...would be added to list of cancer-causing chemicals. This is important because if people don't know what's in their food, they can get sick. In addition, it's important to consider that companies should start labeling GMO foods.

Not to mention, it's important for companies to label all GMO foods because people should have the right to know what chemicals are in their foods. As a matter of fact, a common argument against labeling GMO foods is labeling would be expensive, and that useless information would just be passed on to the consumer. Moreover in an article, it demonstrates that a company said that 'labeling GMOs would give its consumers 'additional confidence' when purchasing their products. Therefore, consumers would have more confidence in that company since they know what's in their food.

To conclude, the question of whether we should label all GMO foods is very debatable. Based on the Newsela article and "Should GMO Labeling Be Required Of All Foods? Here's A Look At Both Of The Story", I believe that we should label GMO foods. The reasons are the chemical glyphosate can have negative effect on you, and people are going to be wondering what's in their food. Overall, although labeling would be expensive, companies should worry more about people's health more than selling their products.
