Father has already shown signs of love, by hugging him, and now he is trying to let his son know that he is there for him, being protecting at the same time. He wants to be protecting because he fatherly instincts that tell him to be protecting.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp; &nbsp; Through his thoughts, Moon Shadow shows<strong> happiness</strong>. For example, "Looking at his smile, I felt as if here at last in the city of the demons, I had found my true father, and more-a friend and a guide" (Yep 61). Moon Shadow thinks that he found is true father and found happiness in that because he had never had a father and now had one. He also sees his father as a friend, too, which would make him even happier. He is happy because he is with his father that he never knew before.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>    Do to his thoughts and actions, Moon Shadow is <strong>scared.</strong> For example, "It seemed there might be any number of demons waiting in their houses, waiting patiently for me to turn my back so they could leap upon me and take over my body . . . I looked up at that moment and saw a pink demonic face staring down at me from the glass eye of the turret... I ran back to the wagon" (Yep 125). Moon Shadow thinks that demons are abusive and mean, resulting in him being scared that he might be attacked by one. When he saw that face, it made him even more scared because he did not know what the demon was doing.</div>]]></description>

In the text it states, "I'll get your machine to the top of the hill if I carry it on just my back" (Yep 296). Uncle had come to help Windrider, and thats what he planned to do. Uncle came to Windrider's house with a wagon and Red Rabbit ready to haul Dragonwings up the hill. He also felt as if he had not been fair to Windrider and Moon Shadow, and this was him paying his debt. Uncle was determined because he felt he had a obligation to the father and son, so he came to help.</div>]]></description>
