Qualitative research is too subjective, and difficult to replicate.

Qualitative research is less codified than quantitative research.

Qualitative research is sometimes very open-ended and relatively unfocused.

By these criticisms they usually mean that qualitative findings rely too much on the researcher’s that the researcher’s often unsystematic views about what is significant and important, and also upon the close personal relationships that the researcher frequently strikes up with the people studied.

Account of qualitative research are frequently less prescriptive in tone than those encountered in connection with quantitative research
