MHS is:
-a Conceptual Inquiry module designed to provide teachers with the tools to initiate meaningful inquiry based discussions
-challenging educators
-designed to work on every type of device
-a series of mini lessons allowing students to develop a deep understanding of a concept
-promoting creative approaches to mathemeatics
-purposeful practice, developing a growth mindset in students; students are offered an unlimited number of attempts at each assignment
-remarkably increasing student engagement levels and student confidence and changing student attitudes toward mathematics
-a system that allows teachers to differentiate materials to every student in the class, filling gaps in learning or achieving a deeper conceptual understanding of a topic
-a Dynamic Resources hub: MHS takes the best conceptual resources available online and links them to lessons within the course curriculum so that teachers no longer need to look for great conceptual hooks to new topics
-focused on professional support: they send their ed-tech reps into schools to walk teachers through the software and discuss how to best fit MHS into their teaching style; blended learning is not a one size fits all model

I absolutely love working with MHS and I have seen its benefits the last 2 years, but as with any other learning platform, it has its issues:

-there are often formatting problems if the student wants to print tables or graphs; parts can get cut off or the writing might be too small
-a reliable high-speed internet connection is required at all times
-the integrated calculator can be too advanced for some students, making it very difficult and confusing to use
-if you have small classes (i.e. under 20 students). the ed techs usually do not come to your school to provide teacher training; this is not indicated on the website
