There are some islands easily reachable from the city center of Šibenik by boat or ferry:

Zlarin and Prvić: The two islands are the closest to Šibenik and are situated along the same Jadrolinija ferry line. You can purchase the tickets online or at the Jadrolinija box by the port. Zlarin is well known for the production of red coral, and since last years celebrates its tradition with a dedicated museum Zlarin Coral Cenetr (open from Monday to Saturday from 9 AM to 8 PM and on Sunday from 9 AM to 3 PM, ticket price 7,00 EUR).
Žirije and Kaprije: The remaining Šibenik islands are reachable with another boat line also operated by Jadrolinija.
Krapanj: a tiny island reachable from Brodarica, a southern suburb of Šibenik. Once at the port, you can find a public ferry service to the island or several private ones that travel more frequently for a similar price (never more than 5 EUR per person).

BEACHES AROUND ŠIBENIK

Our Training Venue overlooks the city beach Banj on the Šibenik gulf. Although it's practical and at a walking distance from the center, we recommend to reach other beaches nearby by bus or taxi:

Rezalište, Brodarica, Žaborić, Bilo, Zablaće, Solaris, Jadrija, Martinska, St. Anthony Channel.

Also, there are some other small trips and activities you can plan to do around Šibenik:

Krka National Park: it's the second biggest National Park in the country and its entrance is located in Skradin, about 15 km away from Šibenik (also a nice town to walk around). You can reach Skradin by bus, although there are just one or two rides daily. Our suggestion is to reach it by the local taxi service WIZI, as the price per cab is around 25 EUR (divided by 4 people, it turns out to be even cheaper than the bus!). Info about the park, working hours, services, and ticket possibilities here. Reachble also by boat from Šibenik, with organized private tours.
Kornati National Park: An archipelago comprising roughly 150 islands, you can find tours going from Šibenik or Murter, which is much closer to it. Boat tours of the Kornati islands are available throughout the summer, most departing at around 09:00 and returning at 18:00. Entrance ticket cost starts from 25 EUR, depending on the size of the boat and the period of the year (the price list is on the website).

RESTAURANTS & BARS

Restaurants: Restaurant Šešula, Buffet Šimun, Marenda (beware, there is two different ones really close to each other, but the original one we recommend is this), Tinel, Mendula, Pjat. For takeaway only, we highly recommend Kacijola. For Fine Dining consider Pelegrini, Buta, and Galbiani.
Coffe & cakes: Moderato, Slastičarnica Calimero, Sv. Lovre café&restaurant, Yum pastry shop (with their famous Cathedral shaped cake), Ka Grom Ice Cream Shop. Also, all the fortresses are equipped with coffee places that offer a unique view.
Drinks: Vintage Bar, Domald, Petrus, GinFinity Bar, and Azimut. The latter organizes many events such as pub quizzes, concerts, readings, conferences, and exhibitions; it is definitely the most alternative/hipster place around the city, in a really unique location.

Cathedral of St James (Katedrala Svetog Jakova): Unesco site Cathedral, Open 08:30 – 20:00. Holy Masses: Every day at 09:30 , 11:00 and at 18:00. Price/Additional Info: Unified ticket for Cathedral and Civitas Sacra Centre 2,00 - 5,00€
Saint Anthony’s Channel - Promenade & Visitor CenterSt. Anthony's Channel: St. Anthony Channel connects the Šibenik Bay to the open sea. Recently the Visitor Center was opened to celebrate the local landscape and underwater environment through education and high-tech entertainment. Open 09:00 - 16:00, ticket price 7,00 EUR.
St. Nicholas Fortress: The famous Unesco Site Fortress, located at the end of St. Athony channel and only reachable by sea. Boat tours are available daily at 10:00, 12:30, 15:00, Ticket price 21 EUR.
Šibenik City Museum (Muzej grada Šibenika): Monday – Friday 8 AM – 8 PM Saturday 10 AM - 8 PM, Ticket price 5,00 EUR (students 2 EUR).
The Medieval Monastery Mediterranean Garden of St. Lawrence (Srednjovjekovni samostanski mediteranski vrt sv. Lovre): The entrance is free of charge and the site is open from 9:00 to 24:00. Once at the garden, you can enjoy a drink at the coffee shop located there!
Three City Fortresses Tour (provided by host organization): The three remaining land fortresses of Šibenik are managed by the institution Fortresses of Culture, as well as the Cultural Center "Art House Arsen" named after the famous Šibenik-born singer-songwriter and author Arsen Dedić.
Park Perivoj Robert Visiani: Located in the city center, between the Square Poljana and the seaside. Free entrance 24/7.
