The wall showed how divided the visions for Berlin were and how opposing the different ideologies of the different leaders was. The people were panicked, feared what the wall would bring and what would happen to those on the other side. The Berlin Wall showed all forces that Germany could not uphold war. German people were unable to see behind the all and with that feared their loved one's lives along with their own. Many thought they had lost their loved ones, and sadly many did. The Soviet Union had control over East Berlin and wanted more.

Some did make it over and were successful. This shows how much they didn't like the wall and the separation the Berlin wall did. The wall also separate a lot of loved ones and made many wonder if they had lost their loved one. The Berlin wall was made to prevent from the west and east to not leave East Berlin.
