On page 153 it says "Yes sir, Thank you sir" This shows how kind Bud was being to the adults later in the book. He might not have known them for long, but he still was kind and grateful for what they di for him. Earlier in the book he Had trust issues with the adults. On page 19 it says "As I followed Mr.Amos I kept a sharp eye out for my suitcase..." Another example on pages 13-14, is when Mrs. Amos believes everything Todd says, so Bud doesn't trust adults for a while. A positive example on pages 98-100 is when Bud gets in Lefty Lewis' car for food.
