  • What? Making a documentary with my colleague Mathys, about the Epirus' region. We intend to highlight in a dynamic and instructive way this "Other Greece", unknown but just as fascinating. Through our outside point of view, we hope to capture, underline and share the assets of this little-known jewel.

    • Why? Because I want to share and introduce as many people as possible this area I love. And also because I want to improve my skills in editing a complete video project.

    • How? We already make an intention note to make our project clear, and editing a demo clip of 2 minutes, about one chapter of the Ali Pasha's story. We also plan the main themes and general planning until July. Now, we have to plan the specifics shooting days and places.

    • For whom? The project is about the place we are living now, but also the people who live here and their history. Our organization is in charge of communication and promotion of the city of Ioannina, and its surroundings, so for sure they will benefit of this project. Our targets are both the foreigners tourists and the Greek people who didn't know well the Epirus.

    • Resources? We use our own materials, camera,drone and personals computers. But we have great support from our mentors, who give us advice and good spots to go.

    • What? Since I'm the first volunteer in Lechovo, we are still kind of figuring out what I can and will do here. But I think it will be very useful to make a website and/or social media accounts for Lechovo and the project. To make it more known. 

    • Why? Putting Lechovo on the map will hopefully help boost tourism. Which will be wonderful for the community. There is a big problem here with people leaving, and more tourists would also mean more job opportunities. 

    • How? I am already working on writing articles about Lechovo. I will continue with finding more information and making pictures etc. 

    • For whom? For the community and to make sure that there will be hopefully more jobs and opportunities in the future. 

    • Resources? This is complicated because most sources are in Greek. But I will talk to the people that speak German/English and hopefully can talk with them in Greek in a while! And of course, write about my own experience. 

    • Also if somebody has tips, on how to best create social media accounts or a website for a place, please let me know!

  • What? I would like to organise a festival about environnement to raise awareness ooorrrrrrrrrrr/annnnnd to do kind of a documentary on IASIS and its work

    • Why? Because there are important topic to talk about. Basically to build awareness about thoses problematic so people can know them better and reflect on it 

    • How? Write the project, recruit the team, organise what I need, ask for the help of other organisation/actors etc, then do it ... 

    • For whom? The beneficiaries of the NGO, but also all the community and people who want to learn more about these subjects 

    • Resources? I studied these 2 things :)

    A documentary about the Epirus region (how human were able to move in this inhospitable nature ?) with Elise :)

    Why?
    To help people understanding (and hopefully appreciate) these part of Greece which is not really known but is incredibly rich in history and landscapes

    How?
    By filming a lot of places (historical places, landscapes or simple interest places), documenting a lot, and merge this content in a mid term length documentary with shots, illustrations, maps and voice off.

    For whom?
    Anyone who wants to discover this region, maybe in order to come here for vacations later but also for the locals who want to know more about there region

    Ressources?
    Material : Drone, camera, microphone and a loooooooot of storage
    People who know history and can inform through interviews

    Gardening project.
    The project is about implementing a week routine with the kids, keep responsabilities and respect the environment. 

    Why?
    I want to develop this project because here the kids have movility and psicomotricity problems, so thats a good way to work it. Then we have some problems with behaviours, so thats a good way to work.

    How?
    Doing a multidisciplinary team with the others volunteers, writting the planning and  sharing task.

    For whom?
    Kids and volunteers.

    Resources?
    Gardening tools, motivation and patient.

  • What?To create a documentary about the daily life of one disable man here in Kalamata. I have issues with contacting them and having an appointment since some weeks.
  • Why? I want to promote the life of disable people here in Kalamata taking the exemple of one guy living with autism and asperger. Get the situation better for the people living here with disabilities, create new opportunities for them etc...
  • How? Firstly i had to write down a script with the shot list and then contact organisation as the Mayor of Kalamata and the hospital here named KEFIAP.
  • For whom? Disable peoples around the world and especially Kalamata. Also people from Kalamata who are not aware of the conditions of the disables people in Kalamata.
  • Resources? Camera, mic, softwares, storage, plural sd card.

    My idea is to create a manual with basic expressions and actions to be able to communicate with the greek beneficiaries whom I work with

    Why?
    Because I don't speak greek and most of the beneficiaries don't speak English, so is difficult to know the necessities that they have. So, for me is important to be able to help if they need something specific one day and with this manual, I think I will solve a bit this problem.
    The objectives are:
    - Communicate with the greek beneficiaries to be able to help them.
    - Be able to have a "conversation" with them or, at least, know more or less what they need.
    - Help the next volunteers with this problem too, because they are going to have it since the beginning of the project.

    How?
    We are already writing and thinking about the most common expression or actions that our beneficiaries and we do during the day. Our idea is to put photos and sentences in Greek and in English so they could point out what they need. 

    For whom?
    For us (the volunteers that are working right now on this project), for the beneficiaries, and for the next volunteers.

    Resources?
    Greek people, digital platforms

    WHY? To empower them, to make them be more conscious about their own rights (raise awareness within ). To make these women feel more confortable facing cultural differences; 

    HOW? Workshops with non-formal educational tools; Non-formal meetings (ex: "english tea" - arrange a gathering at 5 p.m. where we can have an "english tea" , to teach the women more about english language and european culture in a safe environment); teach easy tools , like using arts, body expression, ecosustainability.....

    For WHOM? to refugees, especifically women who attend Oikopolis (my org);

    What? I'm doing a huge wildlife inventory of the wildlife of the reserve (mainly birds)

    why ? It's important to know and understand the wildlife around us to take care of it

    How? By creating explanatory cards, for the moment, that will make it possible to sensitize visitors and future volunteers while identifying the species for the managers of the reserve
