         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;Nursing is something that is a part of you, not something that you can just learn. I believe that anyone can learn a nursing skill such as starting a iv, but not everyone possesses the compassion for caring for others. My personal nursing philosophy is characterized by my integrity, empathy, and care for my patients and co-workers.In my opinion, personal nursing philosophies and your practice goes hand and hand. How you feel, ultimately determines your patient care. In the nursing profession, you’re not only caring for the patient physical condition, you’re also caring for their social, and emotional needs. This can be very draining and overwhelming at times, especially when you have your own issues that you are dealing with. In order to deal with these problems on a daily basis, you have to have a tremendous amount of empathy and compassion for other.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>The NMBA (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia) RN Standards for Practice Standard 3, ‘Maintains the Capability for Practice,’ sets out the expectations for registered nurses to ensure that they are competent, safe and able to provide quality care to their patients.<br><br>This standard requires RNs to maintain their professional knowledge and skills, as well as their physical and mental health, to ensure they can perform their duties effectively. Specifically, RNs are expected to:<br><br></div><ol><li>Engage in ongoing professional development: RNs are expected to continually update their knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and training courses.</li><li>Maintain professional registration: RNs are required to maintain their professional registration with the NMBA and comply with the NMBA’s standards and codes of conduct.</li><li>Practice within their scope of competence: RNs are expected to work within their scope of competence and seek assistance or supervision if they encounter situations beyond their level of expertise.</li><li>Maintain physical and mental health: RNs are expected to maintain their physical and mental health, as this can impact their ability to provide safe and effective care to their patients.</li><li>Reflect on their practice: RNs are expected to regularly reflect on their practice, identify areas for improvement, and take steps to address any gaps in their knowledge or skills.</li></ol>]]></description>
