There is no question that global warming exists but there is no proof it's man made because there are too many factors that contribute such as animal agriculture. With the world population growing, the demand for crops and animal-produced foods will increase. This is also starting to take up more and more land to fulfill the high demand. It's obvious we need to cut back on meat to reduce the pollution animal agriculture pushed into the air.

The changes we need to make such as eat less meat are apparent. This will decrease the demand to form animals which is one of the biggest contributors of pollution.

Animal agriculture globally is the most used profession with cows being the most demanded. The single cow takes up 1 acre worth of pasture. In order to maintain the high demand, much land is needed with approximately 2 gallons per cow. All this cattle produces an average of 70-120 kg of methane each per year. Methane is 21 times more damaging than Carbon Dioxide (CO2). “Since they are also the largest producers of nitrous oxide which is 310 times more damaging than CO2” stated by Will Allen in his article “Agriculture Is One of the Most Polluting and Dangerous Industries”. In J. Eitzinger and S. Orlandin’s editorial “Climate Change and Agriculture: Introductory Editorial”, showed an estimate on how the earth’s population will increase drastically; which will only increase the need for more meat. The also explain how “agriculture must adapt with changing weather”. This means that farming must continue and they would need to move sites if the weather keeps them from from doing so to fill the demand. Ted Thornhill’s editorial “Humans are NOT to Blame for Global Warming…” quotes canadian ecologist Patrick Moore saying “there is no scientific proof that human emissions of carbon dioxide are the dominant cause …”. There are too many factors that contribute to the world’s pollution to determine that humans is the main one.

However many think otherwise, such as Jon Mooallem in David Leonhardt’s editorial “Climate Change is Now” stating that, “parts of Washington now experience flooding 30 days a year, a figure that has roughly quadrupled since 1960. In Wilmington, N.C., the number is 90 days”. He tries to show that areas are experiencing different weather patterns than what they usually are use to. He also states that “Wal-mart has announced to plan to remove 1 billion tons of greenhouse emissions from its supply by 2030”. This shows that large corporations are stepping in also trying to contribute less to climate change.

It’s true that Global Warming is a big problem that needs corrections/changes to help contribute less to it. If things don’t change then Global Warming will cause lots of Climate Change. Helping change the factors that contribute to Global Warming can have a great huge impact on the green house emissions being pumped into the atmosphere.

In the cartoon the bigger problem not being noticed is financial disaster and is shown to be something more of a problem. Its main purpose is to shift focus on problems that should be dealt with first.
